“Free Openly Hugs” was a social action campaign developed by Circus to bring awareness of the fight against homophobia. On LGBT+ Pride Day, we invited Mr. Edmar and Mrs. Ivone, parents of a homosexual son, to accompany us to Paulista Avenue, place where the event welcomes almost 3 million people, with the aim of giving a warm welcoming hug in everyone who is discriminated bytheir parents in their own homes. The idea was to show the power of a hug, whichmight be ordinary to some people.However, it can be the whole support that many others need. Thecampaign was broadcasted on social medias with high engagement and results that exceeded theexpectations! Yet, in some cases, intolerance shows us that we still have a long way to go!
